Aldie Murder-Suicide Shocks Community

The quiet neighborhood in Aldie was shocked to hear the news about a murder-suicide in  Eloquence Square. According to authorities, Sodhi Singh Chanal, a 43-year-old man, shot his wife, Mandeep, and his mother-in-law who lives with them. Shortly after the shooting, he turned the gun to himself and committed suicide. The husband and wife died while the mother-in-law survived and treated in a nearby hospital. Neighbors reported that they heard the couple argue that day but never thought that the loud bang they heard was actually coming from a gun. The couple have 2 boys who were both at home during the incident but were unharmed.
